Mariah Blames "Splashes" of Champagne for Sloshy Speech

Mariah is blaming it on the alcohol.
At Wednesday's People's Choice Awards, the diva, 40, was asked about her sloshy speech Tuesday at the Palm Springs International Film Festival awards gala.
"I don't even know what it was," she told reporters. "I heard clapping. You know, Lee [Michaels, Precious director] and I hadn't seen each other in a long time, and he started right in with all these inside jokes, and I was like, OK.

"We were celebrating and having little splashes, and I hadn’t eaten, and that's what it was. We were celebrating the movie and all the exciting stuff going on. There's a time for celebration and a time for not - but really technically, it's a party atmosphere. We had splashes of champagne. I love Lee, but he’s a bad influence."

Carey was the butt of jokes by Sean Penn and Jason Reitman, director of Up In the Air. "I think it feels just as good as Mariah Carey feels right now," Reitman joked onstage while accepting an award at the show. "I should really leave now. I don't think it gets better than that."

Oh come on people don't you all think that every forty year old woman should run around with her tata's hanging out...Hahahha. I don't care if she wants to have a good time but at lest have the grace to handle it. First off whats with the dress...she can't even walk in that thing much less her stupid high heals. Mariah honey stop wearing the young chick clothes and step up to your status with some class. If your husband is telling you he likes it he's lying to you. Put some real woman clothes on if you want to drink a couple then go ahead but do it with your friends and the whole world.

(Seems to be a trend with her through the years) I really like her when she very first hit the scene- but as soon as she divorced Tommy(Who made her who she is) She turned in to a sleezy person. Peronsally, I am tired of hearing her high pitched squeal in every song she does- she is washed up.

I do NOT like her. She is too much of a DIVA. You never see a pic of her that she isn't posing. She just seems to vain and fake for my taste.
