Get it, Mimi! Mariah Carey showcased her undoubtable vocal prowess at the opening night of her Las Vegas residency, Mariah #1 to Infinity, on Wednesday, May 6, when she hit all of the high notes during her performance.

The Elusive Chanteuse belted out the lyrics from her 2005 hit, "Don't Forget About Us," when she suddenly transitioned up several octaves and hit her famous high notes. The crowd packed inside Caesars Palace in Sin City responded with cheers.

Us Weekly was on the scene when the entire show went down. "Seriously, I’m so happy to be here with you tonight!" the singing sensation told the enthusiastic crowd. "Without you, I would not be here. There would be no number one hits for me, never mind eighteen of them. I’m going to sing these in chronological order. Some of you may not have even been born yet. Let’s start in order."

Carey also got up close and personal with her fans inside the venue on Wednesday night, performing her '90s anthem "Always Be My Baby" from the floor. When introducing the hit, she told the audience: "They still play this one on the radio. It’s one of my favorite songs to sing live. It’s so much fun and I’m going to come down and sing it in the audience with you if you don’t mind — If you sing along." She then walked to the edge of the stage and stopped for help.

"I need help getting down these stairs," she joked. "These shoes weren't made for walking. They were made for standing."

An Instagram video from one show attendee featured Carey walking up an aisle inside the Colosseum, and singing the lyrics to the song.

Carey also sang other huge hits on Wednesday like "Emotions," "Heartbreaker," and her biggest (out of 19!) hit, "We Belong Together."

Her latest appearance comes hot off the heels of several embarrassing performances in the last year. This past February, Carey very obviously lip-synced to her 1995 smash, "Fantasy." The humiliation was worse, however, last December at the Tree Lighting Ceremony at Rockefeller Center, where the isolated vocals from her performance were leaked.

The singer, however, is determined to come back after the incidents, releasing her latest single "Infinity," which is believed to be about her estranged husband Nick Cannon. Carey's stint in Sin City will continue through July.
