Nick Cannon's not out of the woods just yet, but he certainly seems to be making progress!

Mariah Carey tweeted Friday that her hubby "is in stable condition with a good prognosis."

"Hopefully he'll be discharged within two days," the 41-year-old singer and mom of 8-month-old twins Moroccan and Monroe added. "As always, he's laughing and in good spirits."

She also tweeted a photo of herself giving Cannon a kiss in a hospital room filled with "Get Well Soon" balloons and flowers.

Cannon wrote on the microblogging site that he "just left the operating table and [was] awake during the whole procedure! Ouch."

On Thursday, the 31-year-old America's Got Talent host was transported from an Aspen, Colorado hospital to one in L.A. "Thank you for all your love, prayers and concern," he tweeted. "You know me. I will be a'ight."

Later in the evening, he tweeted a photo of himself getting a haircut with the caption, "Getting back to business."

Carey first confirmed that Cannon had been hospitalized on Wednesday, tweeting that he was being treated for "mild kidney failure."

She added that doctors tried -- and failed -- to remove her from her hubby's room. "I'm not trying to make light out of the situation because it's a serious moment that's very tough on all of us," she wrote. "So please keep us and our family in your prayers."

@Elizabth Aspen-times are tough for everyone, if your praying for yourself & your family it only takes 2 seconds to put someone else into those prayers & if you are a good Catholic or whatever your religion maybe then you would do it without writing stupid stuff on a post & making yourself look not only stupid but a person that only thinks about herself. Good luck Nick & Mariah you do have fans who are thinking of you & praying for you.

@Elizabeth ouch that's rough Nick could've died had his kidney surgery failed so Mariah had ever right to ask her fans to pray for them. stop critizing her at a time when she's being a dutiful wife to her ailing husband you don't want to see their children grow up without a father do you

Mariah, some of us can't afford to even feed our families, so I think maybe we'll keep our OWN families in out thoughts and prayers before we do yours.

glad that he's in stable condition now it could've easily gone the other way he could've died leaving her a widow and their beautiful children fatherless losing a parent is traumatic at any age ask Eduardo Ponti who lost his dad Carlo Sr at 34 in January 2007 8 months after his daughter Lucia Sofia was born
