Marissa Jaret Winokur Dishes on Her New Series All About Sex: Find Out Which Comediennes Are Joining Her

Actress Marissa Jaret Winokur recently dished on her new TLC series All About Sex to Us Weekly -- get the details!

Let's talk about sex! No, really. Broadway vet and actress Marissa Jaret Winokur stars in the upcoming TLC series All About Sex, where she and other comediennes give the low-down on (you guessed it!) their bedroom experiences. Winokur recently dished to Us Weekly about the show, and what viewers can expect.

"There's never been anything like this on TV and that's the truth," Winokur, 41, told Us. "It's not a talk show, it's a conversation about sex."

The Hairspray star will be joined by funny ladies like Margaret Cho and Heather McDonald, who clearly aren't afraid of holding back. "[Margaret] has more of a sexual history than anyone I've ever even read about. I mean it's crazy," Winokur joked to Us.

As for McDonald? "She's more like the sexy mom who wears short skirts and high heels," she explained. "I thought I was pretty sassy and fun and had done crazy things, but nope, compared to everyone else, I have not!"

Winokur hopes that All About Sex will not only give audiences a laugh, but will also not make them feel bad about their own sex lives — or lack thereof. "[I was on TV] talking about how I don't have enough sex with my husband because I'm tired and I have a kid and I'm exhausted, and my friend was saying she was making her husband watch that and say, 'Look, it's not just me!'" she recalled. "There's nothing wrong with you!"

The Tony winner never expected that she would be hosting a show about sex, but is excited to try something new. "When I was between the ages of 17 and 22 I would have said, 'Yes! I can rock this…I have things to say!' But at 41? No. I would never have expected that this is what I'd be doing," she told Us. "It's intimidating and scary for me, but they say you should do things that scare you!"

Winokur's husband Judah Miller was also "totally fine" with her new gig — that is, until he had to sign a waiver that gave her permission to talk about their sex life. (The couple are parents to son Zev, 6.) "He got super stressed," she said, adding: "I was like, 'Oh my god, just sign the paper, who cares!'"

And that he did.

All About Sex premieres on Saturday, Jan. 10, at 11 p.m. EST on TLC.
