Meet the Alleged Mom of Arnold Schwarzenegger's Love Child
Arnold Schwarzenegger's alleged mystery woman -- with whom he fathered a child over a decade ago -- has been revealed by multiple outlets.
Her name, according to RadarOnline and ABC News, is Mildred Patricia Baena. A housekeeper and assistant for Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver's family for over 20 years, Beana, known as "Patty," gave birth to a son about 14 years ago.
Actor-turned-politician Schwarzenegger, 63, revealed early Tuesday that he had fathered a child with a staff member, but did not reveal the identity of the mother or the child. Shriver, 55, moved out of their shared home earlier this year after her husband of 25 years came clean; Beana retired in January.
The New York Times reports that rumors were flying of a secret love child eight years ago, when the Terminator star was running for governor of California. "In 2001 when he first came forward and indicated that he might run for governor there were rumors coming to us constantly about affairs and children," Garry South, a Democratic consultant in L.A. told the Times.
Friends tell the Times that Baena was working at the home, pregnant, while Shriver herself was also carrying her youngest child Christopher, now 13. Baena's son reportedly spent some time at the family home as well.
"There are no excuses, and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry," Schwarzenegger said in his Tuesday statement.
