When two quirky-funny, totally in love actors give a joint interview for Playboy, the results are guaranteed to be one part salacious and many parts hilarious. Such was the case when the magazine sat down with Megan Mullaly, 54, and Nick Offerman, 43. The story starts out with a bang, when the Parks & Recreation actor, who plays the gruff, no-nonsense Ron Swanson on the NBC sitcom, compared the couple's love to flatulence.
"I wish I had a huge fart saved up to describe our love: silent but deadly," he said. "Love is patient. Love is kind."
And it doesn't get any less shocking as the interview progresses. "I have a definition of real love," Offerman continued. "It's when she lets me put my mouth on her 'Pandora's box.' One time she even let me do it after I had shaved the top of my head bald and grown a big beard for a play.
"Besides loving his male parts, I also think he's a great man," Mullally, of Will & Grace fame, retorted.
Though the couple have been married for ten years, none of the passion seems to have waned. The two met at an L.A. production of The Berlin Circle in 2000. ("He was the only one who made a point to come over, shake my hand, and try to have sex with me," she joked.) After a few weeks, they started fooling around, their car make-out sessions lasting for hours, they claimed.
The mad-in-love duo are currently starring in a production of Annapurna at the Odyssey Theatre in West Los Angeles.
