Mel Gibson Being Investigated for Domestic Violence

Mel Gibson is being investigated over a possible domestic violence incident involving his ex Oksana Grigorieva.
"We opened an investigation into allegations and those do involved domestic violence and other things. We did our first interview on Monday and the investigation is on-going. When it is compete, we will turn it over to the District Attorney just like we do in any case. We take these allegations seriously and we are moving ahead. It will be a thorough and exacting (investigation). The DA will be the ultimate purveyor of what will happen," Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Steve Whitmore tells UsMagazine.com.

The attack allegedly occurred Jan. 6.
On June 21, Grigorieva, 40, filed a restraining order against Gibson, 54, stating that he punched her in the face and knocked out her teeth. A Gibson source tells Us Weekly: "They got into it, but he absolutely did not injure her."
The actor then turned around and filed his own restraining order against Grigorieva, prohibiting her from speaking about certain aspects of their case.
They are both due in court July 20 over the restraining order.
Gibson and Grigorieva are engaged in an ugly custody dispute over their 8-month-old daughter, Lucia.
Sources tell Us that Grigorieva's claims are a ploy for more custody — and cash. (His lawyer Stephen Kolodny tells Us the duo had reached an agreement in May that would lead to fifty-fifty custody.)

Grigorieva (who has son Alexander, 12, with actor Timothy Dalton) claims Gibson — worth a reported $900 million — is refusing to give her child support and forcing her to rack up debt.
"I am having to live on credit cards," she told the U.K.’s Daily Mail June 26.
Last year, Gibson divorced his wife of 28 years, Robyn, with whom he has seven children. The two reportedly had no prenup, which means she walked away with about $450 million.

I agree this whole thing reeks of a set up for poor little Oksana. The premeditated taping of multiple conversations in which she baited and pushed him — clearly having pushed his buttons earlier the day, reek of manipulation. She seems like a little sociopath out to squeeze Mel for money. It doesn't excuse Mel's tirades, but he's not seeing how she's playing him. It's pretty evil. Oksana, not Mel. Lots of foreign women come here to snare American men who fall for the exotic foreign bridge routine, only to pull this same crap after they get married. Then they can stay in the U.S., snare some cash, and walk away. It's a CON. And Oksana is conning the American public. I'm telling you, she's phony, she's set him up, and it stinks to high heaven. As another commenter said, if Mel was a batterer, how come his wife of 3 decades never mentioned it in their divorce? they have seven children, decades together — and surely if he was a wife-beating madman it would have surfaced before this. Has any other woman accused Mel of domestic violence? He has no history of this — which suggests something is rotten in Denmark. Or Russia. If he has a history — out with it. A man his age doesn't just suddenly become a batterer overnight. Either she had a power over him to cause him to flip — and history, drama, books, movies are full of such occurrences, or he's hiding a past. I think the former is most likely. And notice Oksana likes to find actors and have their children and then ditch the scene. Mel's not her first! Suspicion should rest on Oksana. And where are those medical records proving Mel knocked out her teeth? Let's see the proof! Mel "lost it" sure, and who hasn't said wild, crazy things in the heat of anger and passion? WHO? But this really smells bad, and the odor is coming from Northerly Russian winds.

And I guess Grigorieva wants the other 450 million as she was busy taping Mel Gibson thinking of her future!! She sure set him in a great big trap!!!
I think Robyn would have left him years ago if he was a wife beater. Its all been a set up,and your all on a witch hunt! The conversation was private-and thats how it should stay-you can say what you like in your home. Anyway I thought you lot were Christians,there is nothing christian about how your treating Mel.
don't feel sorry for him...at all...he got took....she saw dollar signs and he thought she was pretty or whatever- so hey he gets what he gets.
Get it right USMagazine!!! Mel walked away with $450M. Mel is the one that got with this woman. His ex-wife deserved a lot more.

If Mel's estranged wife Robyn (I'm pretty sure their divorce hasn't been finalized) had accused him of domestic violence I'd believe it. But I don't trust Oksana Golddiggereva as far as you can throw her. How can anyone respect a woman that "accidentally" gets pregnant by a wealthy married man?

Its ok to be a "gold digger" so long as 1) you are faithful 2) you are much younger than the wealthy man. But if you are an unfaithful gold digger and 15 years older than the rich man man.... you should get a punch in the GIZZARD.

I'm sure he isn't an angel and has made lots of mistakes...but really, I find it amazing no one even doubts her motives...it might just be that she is a woman out for money, having babies with celebrities to secure her future...

You chose to sleep with an unstable, married man, made sure you got knocked up real quick, and had no problem spending his money. What exactly did you think would happen?
