Nurse Jackie star Merritt Wever gave a hilarious and very short speech at the 2013 Emmys on Sunday, Sept. 22, for winning Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series

Best acceptance speech ever? That's exactly what Neil Patrick Harris thinks! While accepting the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, Nurse Jackie star Merritt Wever left the crowd speechless — quite like herself — when she quickly wrapped up her speech in just a few seconds.

"Oh my God, thanks so much," the 33-year-old star said. "Thank you so much. Um, I gotta go. Bye!" Prior to the very short yet hilarious speech, the New Girl guest star was also seen saying "holy sh-t" to her costar Edie Falco in the audience when she heard her name being announced, and was in complete disbelief while walking up to presenters Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to accept her Emmy. Wever has played the role of Zoey Barkow since 2009 on the Showtime series.

Though Wever didn't even say enough to get cut off by the music, she still had a second chance to say what she really wanted backstage at the press room. "I wanted to thank a lot of people – it's happening again," she joked of blanking. "I wanted to thank everybody at Showtime. I wanted to thank most of all Edie Falco. I wanted to thank David and Gary and Matt at Showtime. I wanted to thank Liz Brixius and Linda Wallem, Richie Jackson, and…I wanted to thank Edie Falco very badly. It's hard to do those [Sighs]. Sorry."

She added: "I dont know yet," when asked what it felt like to have the award in hand. "I'm scared honestly. I'm scared. I'm scared because it was unexpected so I don’t know how I feel yet. I mean I have therapy next week."

Other stars in the category included The Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik, Glee's Jane Lynch, 30 Rock's Jane Krakowski, Veep's Anna Chlumsky and Modern Family's Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara. (Bowen snagged the Emmy the last two years.)
