Michael Jackson Memorial Tix Listed for $15,000 on eBay

Didn't get a ticket to Michael Jackson's public memorial at the Staples Center this Tuesday?

You can buy one for a cool $15,000 on eBay. Earlier, a "Buy it Now" ticket was listed for $20,000, CBS News reports.

Some 8,750 people were awarded two tickets each via an online lottery over the weekend. (More than 1.6 million people applied.)

While the main ticket holder needs to enter a password and then pick up the wristbands at Dodger Stadium today, a Staples Center spokesman admits ticket scalping was out of their control.

"Theoretically, the second wristband can be sold," rep Michael Roth said.

Fans expressed outrage that people were making money off a public memorial.

"These people are sick, How could they!" wrote one online.

eBay promised to remove the listings, but they're still available.

"Any tickets for the memorial service will be taken down," an eBay rep said.

For Tuesday's memorial, 11,000 fans will be admitted to the Staples Center, and 6,500 will be let inside the Nokia Theater next door, which will simulcast the event.
