Michelle Obama’s New Official Portrait Revealed

Michelle Obama's bangs have been immortalized for the historic record. On Wednesday, the White House released the First Lady's new official portrait, taken in honor of husband President Barack Obama's second term in the Oval office.

In photographer Chuck Kennedy's new portrait, the 49-year-old mother of two poses in the Green Room in a waist-up closeup — wearing a navy dress with three-quarter-length sleeves as she leans into a green chair, and sporting her talked about new bangs, unveiled last month.

Mrs. Obama's first official portrait, by contrast, showed the President's Wife standing, and showing off her famously toned arms in a sleeveless black dress by Michael Kors.

"This is my midlife crisis, the bangs," Sasha and Malia's mom explained of the cut on The Rachael Ray Show earlier this week. "I couldn't get a sports car. They won't let me bungee jump. So instead I cut my bangs here."
