Miguel is in trouble with the law. The R&B singer was arrested for DUI in L.A. on Thursday, Aug. 15, TMZ reports.

Miguel, 27, was reportedly pulled over in his 2013 BMW X6 for speeding and tinted windows around 2:15 a.m., according to TMZ. California Highway Patrol officers reportedly smelled alcohol and had Miguel perform field sobriety tests. The "Adorn" singer allegedly blew a .10 -- which is above the .08 legal limit in California -- and was arrested for driving under the influence.

A few hours after being booked, he was released on $5,000 bail. His court date is schedule for September.

Miguel made headlines in May after he accidentally kicked a woman in the head while jumping across the Billboard Music Awards stage. TMZ reported in June that the victim's lawyer says his client has been exhibiting symptoms of brain damage following the incident. Potential legal action is pending.
