Miranda Lambert is hoping her legion of Twitter followers will mobilize to locate her missing dog, Loretta.

Country queen Lambert, 28, and her husband Blake Shelton sent a worried message asking for help Tuesday after their pooch failed to return home for 48 hours. "If you live in Tishomingo, Okla., our dog Loretta has been missing for 2 days," Lambert's message read. "She is a small black lab. She has a pink collar with a tag."

Posting a second message with an image of their pooch, Lambert assured fans who might come into contact with Loretta that the animal is "very friendly" and urged those in the Oklahoma area to get in touch with Lambert and Shelton using the phone number on the dog's tag.

Pleaded Lambert: "We are praying she comes home soon."

Loretta has been under Lambert and Shelton's care since May, when Lambert found her and pleaded with her husband to allow the dog to join their menagerie of other canines, which include fellow rescues Ophelia, Emmy Lou, Delta, Delilha, Jessi, Waylon, Virginia Bluebell, Black Betty and Cher.
