Mo'Nique Didn't Shave Her Legs Oscar Night

Mo'Nique didn't shave her legs as she walked down the Oscar red carpet in an electric blue silk Tadashi Shoji gown.
The 42-year-old Best Supporting Actress winner recently told Barbara Walters that she never shaves her legs because it is painful and her husband Sidney Hicks prefers hairy legs.

Asked if she stands by that statement, the Precious star told UsMagazine.com at Sunday's show: "I stand by that, mama! And my husband stands by it!"

At Friday's Spirit Awards - where Mo'Nique also picked up an award - she told Us she wasn't upset that people have made a big deal about her hairy legs.

Monique was trying to convey a point here. She was merely stating that their are more important things in life than smiling and profiling, winking and drinking. Also, that can win an Oscar based on talent not politics. Her acting skills won this Oscar not popularity. Most people do show emotions on their faces when they speak. In elementary school, I had a teacher who had hairy legs under her hosiery. I used to think it was so pretty. Then I grew up and found out that people actually shaved their legs. I feel like it's a choice...Mo'nique has a lot of hair to be shaving, too. ha ha Congratulations!! Mo'nique. You may have hairy legs but you acted the heck outta that part. Loved it!

It hurts to shave her legs because she admitted-She ONLY did it 1 time in her life!!!!!!!!
