These Are the Best NBA Finals 2016 Memes of LeBron James and Stephen Curry

The Cleveland Cavaliers finally took home their first championship trophy after defeating the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals on Sunday, June 19.

Cavaliers star LeBron James, who was also awarded the MVP trophy on Sunday night, was overwhelmed with emotion as he celebrated the team’s historic win. When the final buzzer sounded, the athlete fell to his knees with tears streaming down his face — and fans immediately took the opportunity to run with it and make some epic memes.

ESPN’s new website, The Undefeated, kicked off an entire Twittersphere of hilarious reactions with a photo of James, 31, sobbing while hugging his teammate Kevin Love. “Let the LeBron crying memes commence,” the outlet captioned the pic on Twitter.

A short time later, another user shared a Photoshopped picture of James and Warriors point guard Stephen Curry jumping up towards the basketball net, trying to grab the coveted Larry O’Brien NBA Championship Trophy.

One fan posted side-by-side photos of the Cavs star crying next to the infamous shot of Kim Kardashian bursting into tears on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. “Who wore it best?? #cryinglebron,” the user quipped.

As previously reported, Curry’s wife, Ayesha Curry, was also mocked on social media when the Warriors lost, just days after she claimed that the NBA Finals were rigged. The mom of two, 27, tweeted a congratulatory message to her hubby’s team on Sunday night and fans went wild, replying with countless memes.

One Twitter user shared a family portrait of Ayesha with her 3-year-old daughter, Riley, but superimposed James’ head onto Steph’s body.
