Nicolas Cage Won't Be Charged With Abuse, Public Drunkenness

Nicolas Cage is off the hook.

The 47-year-old actor, who was booked on a domestic violence charge in the wake of a drunken argument with his wife Alice Kim in New Orleans on April 16, will not be charged with a crime, TMZ confirms.

At the time, the National Treasure star was booked on charges of disturbing the peace and public drunkenness; Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman paid Cage's $11,000 bond.

According to the New Orleans District Attorney's Office, investigators do not have sufficient evidence to move forward with the case. Cage has since resumed work on his current film, Medallion.
