Nicole Kidman knows what she wants. The Oscar-winning actress, 47, gave a revealing new cover story interview to Elle magazine, and showed just how well she knows herself as she spoke about life and love.
“I’m spontaneous,” Kidman told the publication of her decision to marry musician Keith Urban after less than a month together. “I jump in.”
“I kind of like getting married and then getting to know each other,” she added. “I know that it sounds incredibly strange, but to me, it’s a more natural process.”
Kidman’s said process paid off for the Australian star, as she has been married to her country singer love, also 47, for eight years. The pair from Down Under tied the knot in Sydney, Australia, in June 2006, exchanging vows in a star-studded affair.
After their quick nuptials, Mr. and Mrs. Urban got to work on starting a family, welcoming daughter Sunday Rose in July 2008 and daughter Faith Margaret in December 2010.
Kidman, who is also the mother to two adopted children from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise, told Elle that she is still enthusiastic about the idea of more kids.
“I had my last one at 43,” the Queen of the Desert actress explained. “My grandmother had her last at 49. Every month, I’m like, ‘I hope I’m pregnant!’… I wish I was!”
