Nobody puts Baby in a corner — especially on her birthday! Nikki Reed reenacted a famous scene from 1987’s classic Dirty Dancing as she celebrated turning 27 with husband Ian Somerhalder over the weekend.
The Twilight actress took to Instagram on Tuesday, May 19, to thank her family and friends for treating her like a princess on her big day.
“I feel so full, so complete surrounded by such an amazing group of friends and family,” she wrote. “It was the most beautiful day filled with love, laughter (a little too much- my stomach still hurts) and a few dirty dancing pool lifts (don’t worry boys I won’t embarrass you).”
The star posted photos from the big bash, posing with pals outside and receiving a cupcake from her new hubby. Reed wed the Vampire Diaries hunk, 36, last month after nine months of dating.
“As I get older I am finding myself more in tune with what the passing of time means and the value of staying in the moment. I’m more aware of the eagerness one feels at the thought of acquiring knowledge and the excitement of growth,” Reed wrote via Instagram.
She continued: “I am learning to trust myself more, and I am learning to love even more than I ever thought possible. So much of my inspiration comes from the vibrations that live inside me, but also in what you guys project. Thank you for your amazing energy. Thank you for your pictures, for your songs, for your love. I can’t wait for 27 to reveal itself. I’m ready.”
