One sweet 16! Modern Family star Nolan Gould celebrated his 16th birthday on Sunday, Oct. 26, with a star-studded bash — and only Us Weekly was there for the special night.

Gould, who turns 16 on Tuesday, Oct. 28, rang in the milestone with a party at the SmogShoppe in Los Angeles. A bevy of young stars came out to fête the birthday boy, including his on-screen siblings Ariel Winter and Sarah Hyland, plus Kiernan Shipka and Joey King.

The young actor and his guests spent the late afternoon fête dining on Victoria’s Sweet Art red velvet cupcakes, Pink’s hotdogs, Coolhaus ice cream sandwiches, tacos from My Taco Man and a sushi bar from Kabuki Japanese Restaurant. As they sipped on themed non-alcoholic mocktails from Your Little Local and beverages from IZZE Sparkling Juice, the teens took pictures in a Wrigley’s photo booth, left their mark on an Interactive Entertainment virtual graffiti wall, sang karaoke on The Singing Machine, played ping-pong and foosball, and danced to music from DJ Brandon Moshenko.

“The general young Hollywood birthday party is kind of bumping music,” Gould told Us Weekly exclusively. “We wanted to do something different which is kind of how it evolved into what it is now, which is just a relaxed, casual event where I got my friends together and we are just hanging out and having a good time.”

The child star was surrounded by pals such as Rico and Raini Rodriguez, Emma Kenney, and Katherine McNamara. When he wasn’t celebrating, Gould, who told Us he was “really happy” with how the party turned out, took a moment to dish to Us Weekly about growing up on the Modern Family set over the past 5 years.

“I have really enjoyed my experience,” said the star, who has been playing Luke Dunphy on the sit-com since he was just 11 years old. “It’s been cool because, it sounds a little cliché, but Modern Family is kind of like a second family to me. It’s nice to have that whole other support system to go to. Julie [Bowen] is really like my other mom and my TV sisters would be just be like my real sisters if I had them. They’re always picking on me and kissing me on the cheeks and it’s like, ‘Guys, stop it, I’m 16 now!’ It’s great, I love growing up on TV!”
