Congratulations are in order! Olympic swimmer Matt Grevers is expecting his first child — a baby girl — with wife Annie Grevers. The little one is due around Thanksgiving.

“I’m going to be a dad! I feel blessed,” Grevers wrote alongside an Instagram photo showing three pairs of swim flippers last month. They’ll be a swimming family; Matt and Annie met in 2007 while training for the 2008 Olympics.

Annie posted the same photo to her account, along with "#GrowingAnAmazonWoman," a nod to their heights — Matt is 6-foot-8 and Annie is 6-foot-1.

More proof that the little girl will likely grow up to be tall like her parents? Annie shared a video on Instagram of her ultrasound a week ago. “Saw Lady Grevers up close today!” she captioned the clip. “At nearly 15 wks she has a strong heart, beautiful spine and long femurs!!”

I'm going to be a dad! I feel blessed.

“We’re both excited to start one, but we want to wait after trials and after the Olympics,” the two-time Olympian said. “I would love to start a family now, but if it’s two weeks before the race, and they need 2 a.m. feedings, I think I’d want Annie to take care of it. As horrible as this sounds, I need to sleep for the race. And she was like, ‘Yeah, we’ll just wait.’ And I was like, ‘OK good!’”

“It sounds awesome to hang out with your kid at 2 in the morning. I probably won’t love it when it’s happening, but I didn’t want to miss that,” the 31-year-old explained. “So we’re waiting just a little bit and hopefully we can start a family after Rio.”

The couple, who celebrated their third wedding anniversary in April, are not the only Team USA family expecting a baby around the Olympics. Wrestler Jordan Burroughs is expecting his second child with wife Lauren before the Games, and water polo player Tony Azevedo recently announced that his wife is pregnant with their second, due in October.
