Oprah Tips Homeless Man $100

It pays to make Oprah Winfrey laugh.
A panhandler tells the New York Post that the daytime diva, 56, slipped him $100 in NYC's Meatpacking District over the weekend because he told her a funny joke.

Julio Bazan, 49, says Winfrey was sitting in her limo in front of the Soho House hotel when he approached her Sunday night. She initially told him she had no money and showed him her empty purse, he recalls.

He then joked, "Hey, Oprah, why is it good to date a homeless man? [Because] when you're finished, you can drop him off anywhere," according to the Post.

"She laughed," Bazan tells the Post -- and rewarded him with five $20 bills through the window.
