Brit hunk Orlando Bloom has revealed he's dyslexic.
Speaking at the Child Mind Institute in NYC Wednesday, he called it "an ongoing struggle," according to the New York Daily News. "I have more trouble studying scripts and memorizing lines than most [other actors]."

Growing up, Bloom, now 33, said his mother inspired him to confront disorder.
"My mom used to tell me, 'If you read 50 books, I'll get you a motorbike,'" he laughed. "So it inspired me to read a lot and work through [my dyslexia]. But I never quite got to 50. And I never got that motorbike!"

Dyslexia didn't alienate him in high school.
Shocker: He said he was popular with the ladies.
Asked if having a girlfriend made him less distracted when he was younger, he blushed and laughed before blurting out, "No!"

He then glanced at his girlfriend, model Miranda Kerr (who was sitting in the audience), and quickly added, "Now, yes. Definitely yes. Yes!"

When my brother was a kid they didn't know what dyslexica was so the Teachers would put him in a corner by him self and treat him like an idiot. The children would call him names it changed who he was he later killed himself. I am glad that today kids are not treated like that.
I saw somewhere that he was compared to Tom Cruise. With dyslexic added to the comparison, I hope Scientology is not.
This is NOT a new revelation. It's been known for YEARS. Most of his fan pages have it written into his bio. Bit behind the times, US?
This is old news Us! Who didn't know that?!
Ugh, that sucks, but I'm glad he's being a good sport about it, and it's great he was a ladie's man in high school!
