The show must go on. In the aftermath of Reeva Steenkamp's tragic death, the model's boyfriend, Oscar Pistorius, has been charged with premeditated murder. The South African community is still reeling from the horrific crime that ended Steenkamp''s life on Thursday, Feb. 14.

But just as the Olympian's trial is getting underway, so, too, is the new season of Tropika Island of Treasure — a pre-recorded reality show filmed in Jamaica that features Steenkamp, 30.

And after "much deliberation," Samantha Moon, the show's creator and executive producer, has decided to go forth with the show's premiere this Saturday, Feb. 16.

"As we grieve today with Reeva's family and friends and struggle to make sense of this shocking tragedy, it has taken much deliberation to come to the decision to continue screening Tropika Island of Treasure 5 as planned," she told Us Weekly in a statement. "Reeva was an intelligent, beautiful and amazing woman, and we feel it would be an injustice to keep that unknown from those who did not know her personally."

"Every episode that she is in, every frame that she so ably dominates — shines with her light and her laughter echoes in every conversation, and we want to share these special memories with the rest of South Africa."

The show's premise is akin to America's hit CBS show Survivor, with a few differences: celebrities and ordinary people are paired up to compete for a large cash prize in remote locations as varied as Mexico and Phuket, Thailand. The fifth season is set in Jamaica.

On Friday, Feb. 15, Pistorius, 26, broke down in tears in a South African courtroom after being charged with the premeditated murder of Steenkamp. Just one day earlier, the Olympic athlete was taken into custody after the model's body was found in his apartment. She had been shot four times, and authorities told the Associated Press that "there is no other suspect involved."

The court case will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 19.

Meanwhile, Steenkamp's memory will be honored during a special tribute prior to the episode on Saturday.
