Jon Gosselin and ex-wife Kate are both waving their white flags.
An insider tells Us Weekly that the once-warring duo "are speaking cordially" a year after their split. The 33-year-old dad recently dropped his battle for full custody of their eight kids and "is trying to keep the peace with Kate," the insider adds.

Well, I see Kate is twisting everything again. Forces Jon to give up the custody suit so she can do it herself. And people think she's a good mother? Jon, when will you learn? Never ever take anything out of Kate's mouth as truth! Trying to work things out? Yeah, right. Just so she can stab Jon in the back, yet again.
Of course, he's placating Kate. It's the only one anyone is allowed to stay in Kate's life and in turn, the lives of the children. It's always been Kate's way or the highway.
skimmed through this book that my mother wrote so many years ago and I am glad for the minutes of my time I spent doing so. The benefit is that I spent some time afterward reflecting on how glad I am that my parents loved us kids and therefore would alowed us to live better lives than we would have had. I know that my parents had such wonderful fans and support. To me I am glad that they give my mother such admiration. Our mother is a woman who was a struggling single mother after our father left. While before getting plenty of help from a full and wonderful staff of nannies to be with us and to protect us for the evil people of this world when she couldn't be with us. And that thanks to her corporate sponsors and the millions she and us kids have made to live as normal lives as we could, being so many to take care of. She is hardly struggling single mother as she once was. We try to take care of her as good as she did us. My mother was a single struggling mother who worked to have custom-built playhouses in our yard so we could play and have fun like other kids.She worked to pay a huge house payments so we could have a dicent and safe play and to live.. We kids are for ever greatful and got her her own hair and make-up artist on staff, who have hair extensions so that the evil haters would leave her alone but they never did. She made sure that we had groceries so we had food to eat. The list goes on and on and on of the wonderful things our mother did for us.... I feel very glad for us kids that we had a mom like we did. Now that we are adults, fully cognizant that our mother was as interested in being our mother as she was interested in the things that we did and have become. She was and is a grateful and faith-filled mother who only wants the best for her children and was willling to sacrifice to make that happen." Yes, it was a really difficult sacrifice for her to demand we re-enact Christmas morning for the camera crew. My mother worked to coach us on lines to say for the cameras when sometimes we didn't want to behave. We knew it wasn't Christmas but we were little and we didn't really understand that this was the best way to get our reaction. I'm sure it was really difficult for her to spank us when we were bad and didn't want to behave. We didn't realize then that it hurt her so.But thanks to her we kids are the better for it and have her to thank for making our lives so muuch better. We loved it on that school break when we were out of school so she could take us to California when she was on DWTS. We were so proud of her on this show. I'm sure it was difficult for Mom to have the press say such hateful things about her and accuse her of things she didn't do or say. She held her head up high and took that high road when she was so tired that she could hardly go on. The press and her haters hounded and stalking her and us kids every day of our lives. We loved to play in the drive way with our toys we had to share. They were always some haters and stalkers there some where. They lacked the empathy and intelligence to understand that she was doing the best for her children and how she sacrificing to make that happen.She did the best for the kids and made actual sacrifices, not demanding her children make sacrifices in order to do the best for us. This book is a wonderful sacrrifice of our mother's motherhood and what she did for us. If you consider buying it as a Mother's Day gift I am sure it will make a wonderful present. Or if you had rather instead donating the cost of the book to a local women and family shelter or some other worthy organization that helps real "struggling single mothers like our mother" who really want the best for their children and are having a little difficulty providing for them. After all we Gosselin kids really appreaciate the support you have shown our mother over the years. this book is our gift for our mom of our childhood and the times that we had. Thank you so much for you love and support. With out a mother like we had what would our worlds have been? Thank You sooooo very much our mother, Kate Gosselin.
Totally agree with the post down a few. Kate HAS to put up with the jerk because of the children. After all the grief he caused her, she probably dreams of him moving to Siberia. BUT, there's the kids and, unless she has sole custody on her terms, she has to deal with him and whoever his fling of the moment is. That is a scary thing for any parent- not knowing who is with your children. Divorce sucks- but after-divorce can be worse. I've been there.

Jon's 15 minutes have been way over. He lost them when he told Kate to file for a divorce. He thought he was gonna be greatly missed. Wrong, he thought she was gonna beg and he still would say no. The truth is he is the one begging. Kate said it fells like it has been 10 years since they were married. I know it was a big relief to be rid of him. But she still has to share custody of the kids and put up with him for them. I hope she finds a better man than the one she had that is for sure.

Two things- I think this annoying video, that you must turn off every time, and just the mention of Jon's name , make this page annoying. As for the headline, it was plain to see- that Jon was slowly, painfully, painting his life into a corner.

Ridic! Publicity stunt? Marriages disolve everyday. Takes 2 to marry. Takes 2 to have babies. Takes 2 to get divorced. Takes 2 to tr y to be civil cause of kids. Geez- the over-analyzing is stupid!
Does he even have a job? He's a gigolo who lives off of weak-minded women who lack self-confidence and who can't keep any other man. Kate is a weak-link who is easy for him to manipulate and mind-control, so I wouldn't be surprised if he does still bang her (and many other people) in order to continue to have access to draining their bank accounts dry! Like a Hoover vacuum cleaner! WHOOOSH!
i agree June Ambrose. i think this has all been a publicity stunt. they have been using the public for a year.
Jon is the perfect example of what happens when you "burn your bridges." He firebombed his relationship with Kate, TLC, his many ex girlfriends- and now they have all turned on him when he wants to come back and cross those bridges again. His 15 minutes were up a year ago. Guess he'll have to find a different path- maybe getting a job would be a good first step.
Tell you what is happening here, he is selling old videos to ROL, shes out with her bodyguard Steve bonking in NY, to distract the one pap that follow these two he has ROL post these slly old homes videos of him and ex H, now what is making them more happy, she gets to keep her mug on tv and talk more about herself and makes money, TLC is paying Jon jus for allowing his kids to be filmed cause they know his ex will not make it on her own, so those two are estatic, the only ones in the whole bunch who get runned over are the kids ...again....tsk tsk...bad parenting no matter where you turn around in that family
