The perks of being 18! Paris Jackson celebrated her 18th birthday by getting a tattoo in honor of her late father, Michael.
The teen, who was just 11 years old when her father passed away in 2009, unveiled her new ink on Instagram on Tuesday, April 5, holding up her wrist to show the words “Queen of My Heart” scrawled across her skin in Michael’s handwriting. “To everyone else he was the King of Pop. To me, well, he was the king of my heart,” Paris captioned the black-and-white photo.
Michael’s middle child got her tat done by Justin Lewis at Timeless Tattoo in Los Angeles, and she brought along cousin Austin Brown for support.
“Paris Michael Jackson got her tattoo today, letters from her father, so sweet,” Lewis wrote on Instagram in a photo of himself, Brown and Paris, showing off the finished product.
The “Thriller” superstar passed away in 2009 from acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication at the age of 50. The King of Pop was also dad of Prince Michael, now 19, and Blanket, now 14.
