Some pop stars have to settle for being metaphorically on top the world. But during a recent vacation, Katy Perry really was.
The "Firework" singer, 27, took to Twitter Tuesday to share a stunning image of herself taken in an undisclosed location -- in it, the pop star stands, with her arms spread, in front of a majestic mountain scene.
"I ate, I prayed, I climbed a volcano," Perry tweeted.
Though she hasn't discussed specifics regarding her exotic destination, Perry alluded to other spiritual, soul-searching activities in tweets sent out this week.
"I can feel the phoenix rising," she wrote September 14. (The next morning, she tweeted that she was "Starting the day with a group meditate #breakfastofchampions.")
Last Friday, she told her 26.7 million followers that she was, "Getting some sh-- out my chakras! #eloquent"
No word on yet what prompted her journey, although her love life most likely isn't to blame: Even though she and John Mayer parted ways in mid-August, a source told Us Weekly earlier this month that the pair are now back on. (They packed on the PDA at L.A.'s FYF Fest September 1.)
Still, the insider explained that the "Part of Me" songstress is determined to keep things between them casual. Says the pal, "She told him she just wants to have fun."
