On Saturday, Teen Mom 2's Leah Messer visited the Clay, West Virginia home she once shared with husband Corey Simms. (Messer, 19, filed for divorce April 14, just six weeks after their wedding.) After Messer collected more of her personal belongings from the Clay residence -- loading them into a pickup truck -- Simms handed over their twin daughters Aleeah and Aliannah, 16 months.
The adorable little girls spent part of the weekend with their dad after the estranged couple brokered an agreement through their lawyers; it had been weeks since Simms had seen his little girls. Aleeah and Aliannah were "giggling and happy" to play with their father after weeks away, a source told Us Weekly.
Messer "feels awful and really wanted the marriage to work," a confidante of the MTV star says.
Adds a Simms pal: "He's heartbroken."
"They are not in a good place right now," adds another source.
