Porsha Williams has officially dropped the "wife" part of "Real Housewife." A little more than eight months after her husband, Kordell Stewart, filed for divorce, the former couple have finalized their split, TMZ reports.
Stewart's lawyer, Shiel Edlin, told the site the athlete is "very disappointed" that his two-and-a-half-year union fell apart, because he expected to be "married for life." Edlin also slammed Williams for allegedly spreading rumors about the former Pittsburgh Steelers star on Bravo's Real Housewives of Atlanta.
"For reasons we cannot understand, [Porsha] displayed a reckless abandonment of anything close to the truth over the last eight months," Stewart's attorney told TMZ. "We are hopeful that Porsha will stop villifying Kordell at every opportunity."
In fact, both parties have done their fair share of pointing fingers. Weeks after Stewart's initial divorce filing, other court documents surfaced in which he accused his estranged wife of staying out late partying and neglecting her stepson, Syre (the ex-NFL player's child with ex-girlfriend Tania Richardson).
Williams, for her part, was reportedly blindsided by the split and told reporters in April: "This is a very difficult time for myself and my family. I'm just trying to remain strong. That's all I can do and stay prayerful and lean on my friends and family."
