Quite the gig! Prince William and Kate Middleton are looking to add to their personal staff.
A new ad was recently placed in the UK's Lady Magazine, offering the job listing for a housekeeper position with a "private employer."
"Housekeeper sought for a large family home in Norfolk," the description begins. "We are looking for someone with previous housekeeping experience, ideally within a large private house, and preferably within a family environment with dogs."
Prince William, 32, and his wife, 33, moved into a stunning property in Norfolk this past fall, getting settled in the estate, which is in addition to their residence at Kensington Palace. The impressive 10-bedroom home is more than enough room for the royal pair's beloved pup Lupo, a black Cocker Spaniel whom the couple picked up in late 2011.
"Main duties will include: cleaning all areas of the house to a high standard; caring for and maintaining the home owners' clothing; cleaning silverware and glassware; purchasing groceries and general provisions for the house; and dealing with deliveries," the ad continues. "On occasions, the role will also involve the preparation of meals, assisting with childcare and caring for dogs."
Childcare will soon become a bigger task for the Duke and Duchess, who exchanged vows in April 2011 and welcomed their first child, Prince George, in July 2013. Middleton is now expecting her second child, and the young prince, 19 months, will become a big brother in the coming weeks.
"Discretion and loyalty is paramount and a current valid UK driving license is essential," the housekeeping ad for the high-profile couple notes. "Self-contained accommodation will be provided (suitable for a couple). The partner may be offered ad hoc maintenance work, although there is no guaranteed work provided for them."
The new staff member will hardly be the powerful Brits' only help. The expectant couple already employs a nanny in addition to their expansive staff at Kensington Palace.
