Prince’s sister Tyka Nelson claims in new legal documents that she doesn’t believe the late singer, who passed away on Thursday, April 21, at age 57, left a will.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Nelson requests to open a probate case to determine how to distribute Prince’s estate. She also asks for the judge to appoint a “special administrator” temporarily, and later says she wants Bremer Trust, National Association as the official administrator of Prince’s assets because Bremer Bank provided financial services to the late pop icon for years.

According to TMZ, if Prince died without leaving a will, as she claims, his estate will be divided equally among Nelson and all of his other living half-brothers and sisters — John Nelson, Norrine Nelson, Sharon Nelson, Alfred Jackson and Omarr Baker. She also names Lorna Nelson as a deceased half-sister with no children, and under Minnesota law she won’t be entitled to any assets.

Tyka also reportedly writes, “The decedent has heirs whose identities and addresses need to be determined.”

The “Purple Rain” crooner’s net worth is estimated at about $300 million, according to reports; plus, someone will inherit his record label and thousands of his unreleased songs. His fortune has further increased after his death with a huge spike in album sales. According to Nielsen Music, 2.3 million Prince songs were downloaded in the three days after his death.

The singer was celebrated on Saturday, April 23, in a private ceremony at Paisley Park in Chanhassen, Minnesota, attended by his family and closest friends. The official cause of death still remains unknown, and it will be several weeks before the autopsy results are complete.
