She might not be Mrs. Schwarzenegger much longer!

A source tells Entertainment Tonight that Maria Shriver will likely be filing for divorce from estranged hubby Arnold Schwarzenegger by the end of this week.

VIDEO: A look back at Arnold and Maria's marriage

On May 9, the couple announced they were separating after 25 years of marriage; Schwarzenegger, 63, also admitted to fathering an illegitimate child during his marriage to Shriver, 55. The alleged mother of the child, Mildred "Patty" Baena, worked as a housekeeper in the Schwarzenegger household for 20 years.

A pal of Shriver's told Us Weekly that the former First Lady of California is trying to keep things friendly for the sake of her and Arnold's children: Katherine, 21, Christina, 19, Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13.

"As hurt as she may be, she will encourage them to forgive their father,"the source said, adding that Shriver's "faith and her focus on family" is getting her through.

The former TV journalist appeared on Oprah Winfrey's surprise anniversary show last Tuesday, and may appear on Wednesday's live show. "She will be ok because she has so many who love her and support her," a second insider said. "She is putting one foot in front of the other."

California is a no fault divorce state. Therefore, Maria cannot bring up the fact that Arnold was unfaithful during dissolution proceedings. However, she can produce evidence that he made a give of community property without her knowledge or consent. The Bakersfield home Arnold just purchased for his ex mistress and their love child, for $268,000.00, is an example of making a gift of community property without the consent of knowledge of the other spouse. If Maria could prove this, she may be able to have the transaction set aside, and may be awarded more than 1/2 of the community assets. @Kennadie Mandrell: As if you even know what this Patty was in it for. What a dumb thing to say. Stop acting like you know these people.

Lord knows what she ever saw in him to begin with. Just like Sandra with Jesse.

Patty, was in it for the money, money, and more money. I agree with Chris, he will pay dearly, all the way around!

Fortune - women do it all the time - prey on married men in hopes of upping their standing...they are attracted to power and money because unfortunately we are the more materialistic of the genders. We lambast men for being visual but if a man's rich as sin, suddenly he is very appealing. I think Patty needs to be asked how could she willingly destroy a family? Yep, Arnold is a man and men have indiscriminate sex..no surprise but Patty had a responsibility to her gender to say no. But she didn't because she is selfish and clearly looking to better her position by using sex...wow big surprise. Women are raised by women to value men as prizes, Patty's immature attitude and Arnold's "d" for a brain just destroyed the family of innocent children and a woman, while being an entitled brat of a woman (sorry folks, I've driven behind her in traffic, she doesn't care anyone else is on the road..) she deserved to have her faith and loyalty in her husband returned in full. Arnold is a pig, that being said I believe Patty is a bigger pig because she could just say no. Oh and the best one -- Seth Myers on SNL when he said "Arnold, did you just sit in your recliner and point at your w*ener when you wanted some??" That says alot about women doesn't it?? He's a pig but women do what they can to accommodate so the money and power could be theirs.

    my thoughts exactly @Chris Drake

My question is, what was the housekeeper's motivation for sleeping with Arnold? Money? Did she feel like she had to in order to keep her job - like she had no choice? Did she just want to? Did she want to be associated with power? Did she want to "get something over" on Maria Shriver? It takes two to tango, so I'm wondering what this woman thought she'd get from it. So far I've heard nothing about her HER motives. Any thoughts on that, folks? I'll check back and see what people say.

Maria Shriver is the classiest woman on the planet. Arnold was NEVER worthy of this saint of a wife and mother. The worst for me is that he RAN for governor of CA and dragged Maria Shriver into that when he had this disgusting looking, dirty, maid and his look alike kid living under Maria's roof while they were making a fool out of her. Arnie is a complete pig. The faster you get rid of that man, the better.

He is going to pay dearly.
