Rob Kardashian was back on Instagram late on Wednesday, January 13, for the first time in more than two months — and the reason for his return? To talk about his Powerball lottery losses!
The 28-year-old has kept a very low social-media (and real-life) profile in recent years, rarely posting messages and existing under the celebrity radar.
But while neither the holiday season nor his recent hospitalization and diabetes diagnosis were big enough reasons to draw the reclusive reality TV star out of his quiet place, the $1.6 billion Powerball lottery draw was evidently too much of a big deal to ignore!
Kardashian shared a picture on Wednesday evening of a man holding up a store with a gun.
"When you didn't win the Powerball & you want your money back for all the tickets you bought from the store," read the picture’s caption. Kardashian added his own line of sad and crying emoji faces.
Despite the fact that Kardashian wasn't one of the three lucky winners, it turns out one of the winning tickets was actually bought in California, at a 7-Eleven in Chino Hills (the other two came from Tennessee and Florida).
But while fans were very excited to see Kardashian return to Instagram, some wondered why the wealthy reality star was even interested.
"I honestly don't think that you have a shortage of [money] @robkardashian !!!! Lol! Calm down! #forreals," one follower commented.
Earlier in the day, Rob's sister Khloé Kardashian revealed her brother was doing well after his diabetes diagnosis.
"He's taking it seriously," the Kocktails With Khloe host told Good Morning America. "He got out [of the hospital] before the new year. I was like, 'OK. Let's leave all that stuff, then. Listen, you found out what the problem is. Let's tackle it head-on.'"
