There are crazy fan encounters, and then there are crazy Robert Pattinson fan encounters.

On Friday's Ellen, Pattinson, 23, tells Ellen DeGeneres about the woman who recently undressed for him in public during a marathon autograph-signing session.

Robert Pattinson then and now: see all of New Moon's players before they were superstars!

The New Moon star was burnt out after signing 500 signatures. "You kind of get ten seconds with each person and you never really say anything . . . I kind of got bored," he explains. When one female fan asked Pattinson "how can I get your attention?" Pattinson had a novel suggestion. "I was like, um, just take your clothes off."

See Rob and the gang hit the red carpet at the L.A. premiere

The fan obliged. "She stood there and frantically started taking her clothes off and got dragged out of the room by security," Pattinson says. "I never felt more terrible . . . I sound like I'm actually just abusing my position."

As for his own nudity, Pattinson hedges to DeGeneres whether he'd ever go the full monty. "Ah...maybe, I don't know," he says as the audience screams. "It's definitely a risk."

Who's Rob dating? What about Taylor? Catch up on the love lives of New Moon's stars

The actor gets halfway there in New Moon, doffing his top in a pivotal scene. "I actually saw the film yesterday," he admits, "This is the first time I've ever been proud of my physical appearance in my entire life."

I'm not a fan of the series but after seeing a few of his interviews he seems like a very humble human being, (he's teased his own hair and doesn't understand what's the big hoopla over him) People need to read the full article before they make a judgement, he was being sarcastic and she took it literally.

he's an idiot. the fan is an idiot.

this story just cracks me up! the person who took off her clothes needs to get her head checked.

  • November 19, 2009 - 1:49pm komie

why would you do that?! thats so not ok!

  • November 19, 2009 - 12:32pm Virgo Gal

Ok, who would actually take there clothes off 4 a superstar? I think Rob meant it as a joke-I don't think he belived she'd actually do it. As 4 his appreance, he's cute, but not drop dead gorgeous. I mean he can't hold a candle 2 Zac Efron or some of the other male stars in his age group. He has a simple style all his own. I think he's sending a message that all the sudden fame hasn't phased him at all, he is who he is. People have only nice things 2 say about him, so his appreance will change as he gets older. Rob also has stated that he doesn't have a PR person bcause he can't stand 2 b told what 2 wear, or how 2 wear his hair.

OK, I am not a fan of his but that is really funny! And good grief, who is the idiot that obliged him?

  • November 19, 2009 - 10:07am Lisa

Get a grip people, he was just kidding then he felt bad, it's cute (funny) and sincere. Relax. And I am not a RP fan, I think he's gross.

  • November 19, 2009 - 9:58am Eve

That's pretty gross, and really wrong. Great way to treat women Rob.

  • November 19, 2009 - 9:41am KK

It's definetly not just you... he looks so stinky. He smokes, doesn't take a shower everyday and doesn't wash his hair, gross.

  • November 19, 2009 - 9:32am rejna

Come on people, are you crazy? It's NOT his fault! Who on earth would take her clothes off just because a perfect stranger -no matter how hot or famous- jokingly asked them to do so? People need self respect and some brain. He has nothing to do with it and certainly NOT abusing anything! And NO, it's NOT a 'horrible thing to do'. It's a joke! Seriously, haven't any of you done any joke remarks of the sort? Are Americans that blindly conservative?!

  • November 19, 2009 - 9:13am Jess

Im not sure why everyone is making a big deal about what he said. He acknowledged the fact that it was inappropiate, so who cares. Not the worst thing in the world to happen.

November 18, 2009 - 10:22pm Bellatrix Says: Im no model but he wouldnt have the privilage of seeing me naked, the egomaniac. Girls in love with Twilight are sick in the head. And its been proven. ------------------------------------- Not sure how Twilight fans are sick in the head! Or what kind of "study" that "proves" this. wow get a life!

  • November 19, 2009 - 8:50am Autum

Okay maybe he should not have said it but come on....she started to do it. Have some self resepct!

  • November 19, 2009 - 8:42am Anon

Okay it was stupid of him to do but seriously what kind of person would do that just for an autograph? Blame lays on both sides on this one.

  • November 19, 2009 - 8:08am fee

do you people really live in the real world? He's nothing out of this world, just a man, but women have been going nuts over hollywood stars since the dawn of Hollywood. People do stupid things. They both deserve a break. There are worse things to think about and more important things to worry about.

  • November 19, 2009 - 2:08am dev

Lol thatâ??s funny- stupid women! I donâ??t think he abused his position as a celebrity he was just being sarcastic and some CRAZY fan thought he was being serious. Hahaha
