Robert Pattinson wanted to be a rapper when he was a teenager—and the heartthrob’s rap name was Big Tub!
Making an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday, June 17, the 28-year-old star elaborated on his previous admission that as a 14-year-old, he was desperate to become a rap star.
“100 percent,” he confirmed to Meyers. “I still kind of do. I was Big Tub, that was my rap name.”
When Meyers laughed about his choice of rap moniker Pattinson explained, “I was very paranoid about my weight.” In fact, he admits to still keeping a close eye on the scales. “I got quite sick in the last couple of days and I’m so excited about it. Next week I’m going to be so skinny!”
The Twilight alum didn’t just dream of being a rapper, he even recorded his own early rap songs. “I didn’t know how to sratch, so I used to pull up and down the zip on my hoodie and record it,” the hunky star admitted, with a straight face. “It sounds exactly like it! [We were] Big Tub and the Tabby Cats.”
