Our thoughts are with you. Salma Hayek remembered her beloved dog Mozart in a touching Instagram post on Friday, February 26, one week after the canine was tragically shot dead.

“I haven’t posted for a week as I been mourning the death of my dog, Mozart who I personally delivered out of his mother’s womb,” she captioned a photo of the dog lounging happily in the grass. “He was found dead in my ranch last Friday with a shot close to his heart. I am hoping that the Washington State authorities do justice to this wonderful dog whom in 9 years never bit or attacked anyone. He loved his territory and never strayed away … he was the most loving and loyal companion. He didn’t deserve a slow and painful death.”

The Grown Ups star then used the hashtags “doglover,” “animalrights,” “dog,” “dogoftheday,” “rip,” “delivery” and “washingtonstateauthorities,” before translating the message into Spanish.

Hayek shares her Seattle-area ranch with her husband, French businessman François-Henri Pinault.

The usually good-natured actress, 49, was faced with another setback earlier this month after she was taken to the hospital following an accident on the set of her new movie, Drunk Parents.

“I had to be rushed from east to the ER for a minor head injusry,” she captioned a hilarious photo she shared via Instagram on Friday, February 5, featuring her sandwiched between two doctors and wearing a loose-fitting T-shirt with the image of a topless woman with a pair of mystery hands grabbing her breasts.
