Video: Sex and the City 2 Trailer: The Girls Wind Up in the Desert

Celebrity News December 23, 2009 AT 8:56AM

In a trailer for Sex and the City 2 (watch above), Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) declares that in the past two years, the girls have experienced "things you thought would never happen in a million years."

But the trailer doesn't offer up any juicy plot details.

As Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' hit song "Empire State of Mind" plays in the background, the teaser shows Carrie seemingly still in love with Mr. Big, Charlotte (Kristin Davis) busy as a mom and Samantha (Kim Cattrall) -- surprise! -- looking for men.

The trailer also shows the girls taking a lot of trips, including a camel ride through the desert.

"Sometimes, you just have to get away with the girls," Carrie says.

The sequel hits screens May 28, 2010.

@completewoman You sure are boring. And like anyone cares about Melinda Gates except maybe you. I can't wait for the movie, the fashion, the fantasy, and especially the foolishness.

Just a little correction for all of you who are saying that Carrie never got a wedding band she only wanted a big closet...that was NOT for the wedding band that was for the engagement ring!!!! anyways...cannot wait to see the second one!!!!

I really hope they are still together -Big and Carrie- because then they would have broken them up just for the stupid movie. Life does have happy endings ya' know.

I loved the TV series, the first movie, and am so looking forward to the sequel. My sister and a few girlfriends are going to have a girls night out to see the movie. I have watched the movie three times and just love it.

December 23, 2009 - 2:05pm completewoman Says: I won't be seeing the movie. The franchise is all about fantasy, fashion and foolishness. I can't relate. How about a movie where the women are grounded, well-rounded, interesting, super smart, wise and get fulfillment from changing the world? Melinda Gates comes to mind. That's who I admire. ********************************** Then go see a movie about a boring hag and leave the fun stuff for us fun girls, that CAN relate.

I also noticed the missing wedding band and I think that was her old closet she was standing in. Please tell me that Big and her haven't broken up and then get back together again by the end of the movie. Haven't we already seen that lots of times? I loved the show but this trailer sucked.

WHY!?!?? The prequel sucked!!! Why a sequel, just a waste of money. When will these old bags realize that they are not in their 20s?
