Not playing nice. Sean Hannity took to Twitter on Wednesday, October 5, to call his fellow Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly a closet Hillary Clinton supporter.
The drama started after Kelly, 45, criticized both Democratic presidential nominee Clinton, 68, and Republican candidate Donald Trump for avoiding tough interviews during a segment on Wednesday night’s broadcast of The Kelly File.
“They’re both in their own version of a presidential protection program,” she said, adding that Clinton makes sure “she is not in a place where she feels uncomfortable or anything unexpected could come at her, which is why she sat for a half an hour with Mary J. Blige, the singer, which is why she did Entertainment Tonight this evening.”
In regards to Trump, 70, Kelly bluntly stated: “And Donald Trump, with all due respect to my friend at 10 o’clock, will go on Hannity, and pretty much only Hannity, and will not venture out to the unsafe spaces these days, which doesn’t exactly extend the tent.”
Trump has made several appearances on The Sean Hannity Show throughout his campaign, and Hannity, 54, has been a vocal supporter of the ex–Celebrity Apprentice host’s bid for office.
In response to Kelly’s comments about the business mogul turned politician, Hannity — who must have missed his colleague’s remarks about Clinton — fired back: “@megynkelly u should be mad at @HillaryClinton. Clearly you support her. And @realdonaldtrump did talk to u.”

One of Hannity’s followers told him that he should “stand by [his] colleagues,” to which the Fox News personality replied, “Sure. When they stand by me.”
During a June 2015 interview with Variety, Kelly — who has moderated several Republican presidential debates — revealed that unlike many of her coworkers at Fox News, she doesn’t identify as a conservative.
“I’m an independent,” she told the magazine, adding that she has voted for both Democratic and Republican candidates. “I’m not rooting for anybody. I’m a Fox News anchor, and I have no horse in the race. I can give anyone a hard time.”
