Selena Gomez may have just hidden her message in plain sight. The 23-year-old songstress debuted a powerful new song, “Feel Me,” during the Friday, May 6, kickoff to her Revival tour in Las Vegas, and fans are speculating that the tune is about Gomez’s famous ex Justin Bieber.
“No one loves you like I love you / I never cheated, never lied / I never put no one above you / I gave you space and time / And now you’re telling me you miss me / And I’m still on your mind / We were one in a million / Our love is hard to find,” the “Hands to Myself” singer crooned.
Gomez and Bieber, 22, have had a long and storied relationship. They began dating as teens in 2011, but were on and off for three years before finally calling it quits on their relationship in 2014.
In March, Bieber caused a stir online when he posted a throwback photo of the former couple along with the simple caption “Feels.”
Eagle-eyed fans noticed that Gomez commented on her ex’s photo with the word “Perfect,” sparking speculation that the pair might reconcile.
Both have since addressed their complicated romance, with Bieber telling GQ that even though they no longer talk anymore, they are “cordial.”
“If she needs something, I’m there for her. If I need something, she’s there for me,” he explained.
Gomez also commented on the pair’s very public relationship, admitting that the split affected her more than she initially let on.
“At first I didn’t care," she told W magazine of the relationship. "To me it was: I’m 18, I have a boyfriend, we look cute together, we like that. Then I got my heart broken and I cared. Because people had no idea what was going on, but everywhere it was a million different things. I was kind of in a corner, banging my head against the wall. I didn’t know where to go."
Gomez was spotted at Bieber’s Purpose World Tour concert at Los Angeles’ Staples Center shortly after his throwback Instagram post, but on Friday night, it was another hunk who the former Disney star partied with.
Gomez reportedly had a great time dancing to Rihanna’s “Work” with her girlfriends in the VIP booth, and was “completely unfazed and continued to party” when Bieber’s “Sorry" came on.
