Sharon Osbourne Skips 'The Talk' After Ozzy Osbourne Separation

Let her take a mental health day. Sharon Osbourne skipped work at CBS's The Talk on Monday, May 9, after Us Weekly confirmed this weekend that the talk show host, 63, and her rocker husband, Ozzy Osbourne, have separated after 33 years of marriage.

Sharon's Talk co-host Julie Chen addressed her colleague's whereabouts on Monday's episode, saying that time off was much needed. "Now, before we get started, as you can see Sharon is not here today," Chen told the audience. "There were many tabloid headlines this past weekend about her and Ozzy. Rumors and speculation that they have split up after nearly 34 years of marriage. Sharon understandably took today off. We are sending all of our love to her and to her family, and we ask that you do the same."

Ozzy's rep confirmed to Us Weekly on Monday that the two are not living together at the moment. "Ozzy is not in the marital home," the rep said. The pair, who married in July 1982, share three kids, Aimee, 32, Kelly, 31, and Jack, 30. (All but Aimee appeared on the family's popular MTV reality show, The Osbournes, which aired from 2002 to 2005.)

Numerous outlets reported on Sunday that the cause behind their split was due to Ozzy's alleged infidelity. According to Entertainment Tonight, Sharon is expected to address the separation on air when she returns on Tuesday.

The TV personality made headlines just this past March, when she opened up about a time when she caught her husband in bed with two nannies. “We used to have four nannies, because I had three children. I would work five days a week, I would travel," she explained. "I’m telling you, they were the bane of my existence. They were all wanting to be celebrities. They were all wanting money … I caught two of them in bed with Ozzy!"

Ozzy has famously and very publicly battled addiction problems throughout their marriage. In 2013, he relapsed and took to Facebook to address his issues. "I am happy to say that I am now 44 days sober," he wrote. "Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing."

Despite the split, Sharon was surrounded by family members at her Beverly Hills mansion on Mother's Day. Her daughter-in-law, Lisa Stelly, posted a pic of a plump rotisserie chicken and wrote: "Feast fit for kings at House Osbourne tonight! Got the chicken going on our rotisserie bbq pit. Anyone else get disturbingly excited for Game of Thrones night???"
