Congrats! Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson and her fiancé, football player Andrew East, got married in a fun Nashville ceremony on Saturday, April 16 — and several of the bride’s A-list pals showed up to celebrate her big day.
The gymnast, 24, stunned in a custom-designed dress by Nashville-based designer Olia Zavozina.
Guests included some of the Dancing With the Stars champ's reality show competitors — Johnson took home the coveted mirrorball trophy on season 8 of the dancing competition.
Her Olympic family showed up as well, including gymnast Nastia Liukin, who competed at the 2008 games with Johnson.
“I can’t wait to watch you become Mr. & Mrs. East today,” Liukin tweeted Saturday. “HAPPY WEDDING DAY!!”
As Johnson previously told Us Weekly, she and her fiancé planned an athletic-themed celebration on the day before the wedding — a field day with her nine bridesmaids and East’s nine groomsmen. And Zavozina also created an outfit for Johnson to wear at the rehearsal dinner.
“What she’s designing is more going to be, like, pants and a really cute top, and then I might change into, like, athletic clothes for the field day,” she told Us at the time. “It will involve a lot of water balloons, I’m sure!”
Johnson and East, 24, got engaged at Wrigley Field in Chicago last July after the footballer got down on one knee on the mound in front of an entire stadium full of fans.
“I’m the luckiest girl in the entire world!” she told Us exclusively. “He was acting so weird all day and was so quiet but I shrugged it off because I was so terrified of throwing the first pitch!”
