Sheryl Crow's got some good genes, and her childhood photos prove it! Now 52 and a mom of two, the "Shotgun" singer-songwriter waxed nostalgic on Throwback Thursday, Jan. 29, posting an adorable Instagram photo of herself as a blonde, wide-eyed elementary schooler. "Little Sheryl Crow," the mom of Wyatt, 7, and Levi, 4, wrote in her post.
Prior to earning her music superstar cred, Crow had an impressive scholastic resume. As a high school student in Kennett, Miss., Crow was a member of the National Honor Scoiety, an all-star track athlete and a majorette. Later, before graduating from college, she taught elementary school music classes and performed jingles for brands including McDonald's.
These days, the Grammy winner is keen to keep her good genes working in her favor, and has said she still feels like her 20-something self.
"I definitely am embracing aging. When you shoot your face with Botox and stuff, you rob yourself of your ability to have youthful expressions, and that's why sometimes people look a lot older," the cancer survivor told Health.com in 2009. "I also have never spent a lot of time in front of the mirror. So as far as I know, I look like I'm 24, which is how I feel."
