Oops! Taraji P. Henson attended Super Bowl 50 on Sunday, February 7, and was so excited to see Maroon 5 perform at the halftime show. The only problem? Coldplay was the headliner, and Adam Levine was no where in sight.
The Empire star, 45, shared a video of the band’s performance on Instagram, which she captioned, “YAAAAAAASSSSSS!!!! #maroon5 is life to me!!! #superbowl50 #HappyCamper I am.”
Henson’s fans quickly commented on the video to notify her that she had the wrong band.
“Damn, I missed Maroon 5,” one commenter quipped, as another wrote, “That awkward moment when you like the wrong band!”
The actress removed the video from her account shortly afterward.
Coldplay hit the stage at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, with guest appearances from Beyoncé and Bruno Mars. Queen Bey performed her new single, “Formation,” for the first time ever, and announced a world tour with the same title immediately after her performance. Lady Gaga took the stage before the big game to perform an emotional rendition of the national anthem.
