Take note, Channing Tatum! Taye Diggs gave Tatum's Magic Mike a run for his money—and by money, we mean single dollar bills—by posting several Vines of himself working it on a stripper pole at a club on Saturday, Aug. 2.

The Murder in the First hunk, 43, showed off his pole-dancing skills in three short clips, each featuring him swinging or sliding around the golden rod. The club is dark, but you can just make out Diggs' striped tank top, bulging biceps, and black fedora. (In the Vine above, you can also see his wide-eyed gaze as he slithers down the pole.)

Diggs has made no secret of his desire to join Tatum and the rest of the Xquisite dancers in the Magic Mike sequel, Magic Mike XXL. In May of this year, he told Ellen DeGeneres he would do the movie "in a heartbeat," and in July he told Conan O'Brien he'd already picked out his stripper name.

"Honestly, I saw the first movie, and I loved it. I'm a huge fan of Channing Tatum's. But I was thinking, you know, and telling other people, 'How can you have a movie about male strippers, and you ain't got no black people in it?'" he joked. "And now we're in talks."

Asked what his stage name would be, the Best Man Holiday star replied, "I would be 'Chocolate Thunder Down Under.' How do you like that?"
