Taylor Kinney Gushes Over Fiancee Lady Gaga’s National Anthem Performance at Super Bowl: ‘She’s Most at Home’ on a Stage

Chills! Like Us, Taylor Kinney was won over by fiancée Lady Gaga‘s national anthem performance at Super Bowl 50, the Chicago Fire hunk told Us Weekly in an exclusive interview on Monday, February 8.

“That’s where she’s most at home, is on a stage,” Kinney, 34, told Us at his TV magazine cover party in NYC. “To see her there on the biggest one — I enjoyed it probably as much as everybody else. Yeah!”

Gaga, 29, nailed the “Star-Spangled Banner” prior to kickoff at Super Bowl 50 on Sunday, February 7. The pop superstar took to the field in a shiny, patriotic-red suit to deliver her powerful, emotional performance before tens of thousands of spectators inside the stadium, and millions of viewers around the world.

Midway through the anthem, Gaga’s eyes started misting — but she powered through the song, as clips of troops watching from Afghanistan flashed across the JumboTron at Levi’s Stadium. Immediately, the internet kindly reacted to Gaga’s live performance, as well as her fellow celebs.

Along with praising his future wife for her Super Bowl moment, Kinney also thanked his fiancée for being, well, herself. “I have a great job, I have an amazing family and now, I have a partner that I can count on,” he told Us Monday of his current life. “And I think that’s the best part. I feel a lot more comfortable.”

Last year, the couple memorably got engaged on Valentine’s Day — Gaga said yes to a heart-shaped Lorraine Schwartz rock! — but this year will be slightly more hectic for the American Horror Story star.

“I think the Grammys are Sunday?” Kinney said of the show, which falls on a Monday this year. “Yeah, so she’ll be at the Grammys. Hopefully, we’ll get to spend some time together and we’ll figure that out, but I’m not giving away any secrets!”

Gaga is slated to perform a special tribute to the late David Bowie during music’s biggest night. Watch her perform the national anthem above!
