Taylor Swift is carefree and fun-loving -- a departure from her darker vibe in "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" -- in the new music video for her song "22," off her Red album, which she debuted on Wednesday, March 13.

In the video, Swift, 23, gallivants around the beach, the kitchen and a rockin' house party with several gal pals as she sings about the joys of being 22 years old.

"We shot this video last month in Malibu," she says in a run-up to the video's debut on Good Morning America Wednesday. "I've never had this much fun shooting a video because all my friends in the video are actually all my real-life best friends." (Keep an eye out for Gossip Girl's Jessica Szohr, who makes an appearance.)

The country singer tries on a number of outfits for the fun-filled video, including a baggy white T-shirt with the words "Not a lot going on at the moment" and a dark glam outfit for the party scenes, complete with cat ears.

"It feels like a perfect night to dress up like hipsters/ And make fun of our exes, ah ah, ah ah," she kicks off the feel-good hit.

Swift, who is known for penning songs about her famous exes, told the April issue of InStyle UK that all of her past relationships are "fair game" -- for both parties involved.

"If I'm gonna write songs about my exes they can write songs about me. That's how it works," she told the publication. "I'm not gonna complain about it. I'm not gonna sit there and say, 'I'm the only one who can write songs about this relationship.' It's fair game."

The singer, who most recently parted ways with One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles, 19, previously dated a long list of bold-faced names, including John Mayer, Taylor Lautner, Jake Gyllenhaal and Joe Jonas.
