Parental guidance. Taylor Swift traded time with her squad in favor of a “garden party” with her parents on Thursday, August 11. The singer, 26, uploaded an Instagram Stories video of herself gardening with her mom and dad in Rhode Island.
In the since-deleted video (Instagram Stories automatically delete after 24 hours), Swift, 26, can be heard saying on-camera: “[We’re doing] some major gardening today. This is what we used to do back on the farm — except not with kale.”
Her green day comes after a dramatic few weeks. As previously reported by Us Weekly, Swift took a break from social media after Kim Kardashian and Kanye West put the singer on blast about whether she knew about his controversial track “Famous.”

The “New Romantics” singer also seems to have taken a healthy breather from her relationship with actor Tom Hiddleston.
But have no fear, the duo are still going strong.
On Tuesday, August 9, the Thor actor, 35, joined Instagram, and Swift welcomed him with a follow, making their relationship Instagram official.
The songstress and British hunk were last photographed together at dinner in Santa Monica on July 27. Their low-key date night came after they spent the past eight weeks jetting around Europe and Australia. As previously reported by Us, Swift started dating the Thor actor just two weeks after she called it quits with ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris.
