Taylor Swift Performs for Little Boy With Cancer, Sings "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together": Watch the Video
Heart-melt Monday! Taylor Swift stopped by the Boston Children's Hospital on Sunday, Aug. 3, to visit a big fan in the form of a young cancer patient named Jordan Lee Nickerson.
Nickerson, 6, was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called Williams Syndrome at the age of 9 months. While the little one has battled this cardiac condition for nearly his entire life, he learned of another medical challenge last month after he was diagnosed with leukemia.
According to his Facebook page, "Jordan's Brave Page," Nickerson is currently in Boston Children's Hospital where he "faces a long struggle."
"Jordan is the best little boy in the world," it says on the page. "He has overcome a lot in his short time and will continue to persevere."
Swift, 24, heard about Nickerson's battle, and decided to pay a visit on the day he was supposed to undergo chemotherapy. Nickerson's page was updated with adorable pictures and videos from the country pop superstar's stop by the hospital, including one music session where Swift played him her smash single, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."
In the heartwarming clip, Nickerson tells Swift: "I didn't know you'd come!" She responds, "We wanted to surprise you!"
Swift then asks Nickerson which one of her songs he wants her to sing. He says, "Your favorite song!" Holding up her guitar, Swift then launches into her smash pop single from 2012. Jordan, dancing and bouncing along, sings with Swift as she launches into the chorus.
Along with her surprise performance for Jordan and his family, Swift also spent some time conversing and even playing table games with the little one. "Just a little air hockey with Taylor!" one update read alongside a pic of the star with her tiny pal. "She's an amazing person that brightened our sunshines day!!!"
