When things got down to the wire during the Canada-U.S. women's soccer match Monday, our neighbors to the North just couldn't hold their own against Team USA.

The U.S. women's soccer team emerged victorious after a last-minute goal during overtime (by Alex Morgan), making the final score 4-3.

Next, America will face off against Japan for the gold medal -- as well as the chance to avenge their crushing World Cup loss to that team last year.

"4-3! And victory!" the team's goalkeeper, Hope Solo, tweeted post-match. "Sometimes it's that entertaining of a match. I never like to see three goals, but it's all part of the game!"
