Exclusive: Teen Mom 2's Leah and Corey: Why They Split

Looks like Leah Messer may become a single mom.
Teen Mom 2 fans were shocked when news broke that the MTV star, 19, filed for divorce Apri 14 from Corey Simms after just six months of marriage. Messer has already moved with twin girls Aliannah and Aleeah into her mother Dawn's home in Elkview, West Virginia. (Simms remains in the family's trailer in a nearby town.)

What happened? Although the duo have squabbled over financial and childcare pressures, several pals tell the new Us Weekly, out now, that infidelity may be the chief cause of the split.
"Leah thinks Corey cheated," one friend says. Just weeks before their Oct. 17 wedding, Simms was spotted flirting with several young women at a local Dairy Queen, according to one witness.

And the very day of Messer's divorce filing, the certified water distribution operator sent amorous Facebook messages to a sexy fan named Jordan Humble -- meeting up with her at a local Wal-Mart that night.
Says Leah's pal: "She feels awful and really wanted the marriage to work."

27I'd like to know what really happened. This article says that Corey cheated but the show Teen Mom 2 says that Leah cheated. Just wondering, I thought they were the best parents and couple on the show, it's sad to see them break up. Btw, my husband Adam and I live in a trailor in a nce residential community where we raise our 3 boys and I can say that it takes alot to make a marriage work and even more to raise a family. It's not easy but as long as there bis love compromise and trust and the will to make it work it will. I wish them all the best.

I would just like to say first off.... Im 19 years old and im pregnant with my first child. Im engaged and will be soon a wife to the most amazing and loving man on earth! There is nothing wrong with that at all!!! Yes we should of been more careful just like every teen parent who already has had the baby or is expecting' should of been more careful. Im not saying its right to have sex, get pregnant, and not be married and have more control of your lifes. For Leah and Corey's case... Yes they should still try to work things out between them and make it right, but, also work things out for there two beautiful and darling little girls:) But, being a Teen Parent is hard and difficult and very stressful. But you cant judge somebody by what you hear or see... It matters if you walk through their shoes and know where there coming from. So dont judge because you have no right to judge other people you dont know, besides thats Gods job.. Judge yourself before you start judging other people and being a "Witch with a B"!! It doesnt matter where they live and for alot of y'all people that judge them just because they live in a Trailor home dont mean anything!! You guys that say crap about people; about where they live, how they act, what they do, what they where, what they look like... and by the way with everything leah has to deal with, being a teen mom of twins one with health problems, i dont blame her. she has it pretty rough and yea she did it to herself by having unprotected sex but she loves those girls and she loves corey whether she wants to admit it or not. she is doing the best she can with what she's got. so dont say stupid stuff about a girl you dont know. none of you know her...yes including me. why must teens talk crap about someone they dont know...its not your place so grow up.
yes no teen should become a mother but it happens every day. even when parents do try to do all they can to prevent it. ppl make mistakes and they shouldnt be judged because of their mistakes. the only one that has the right to judge anyone is god. not a bunch of little girls watching teen mom. i completly agree with the decision to make this show becuase it shows how hard it is to be a parent especially a teen parent. a have a young cousin that tells me almost everything and she started watching the show thinking it was gonna be good. she told me she never knew how hard it really was to be a mom. it made her appreciate her mother more and she stopped having sex. this show is good for teens cause a lot think its ok to have sex without protection. they think its not going to change anything and most dont think about pregnancy or std's. and some teens even think if they have sex or get pregnant it will make their boyfriend around. obviously teen mom proves otherwise. a baby will not keep anyone around. its up to that person. and having a baby at any age is not easy but its especially hard while trying to go to school and begin your life as an adult. so all teens i encourage you to watch this show and see the hardships these girls have had to go through. and there not alone. so watch the show. see how hard it really is. and maybe you will see life threw a new light and realize....sex isnt everything and it can turn your world upside down. and erica whisman....i have a really good friend that was a teen mom. when put in that kind of situation you grow up. you learn to not only take care of yourself but to take care of your baby. no doubt your probably still a teen yourself....you will learn someday and see things differently...until then leave the judging to god.
no teen should be pregnant instead of making a show about it they should do more to prevent the teen pregancy from happening i blame parents they should do more and get they're child the protection they need to stop this from happening as for corey and leah they are teens and were way to young for marriage and too young to have children teens cant even take care of themselves much less a kid am i the only one that sees this as being all wrong

Too bad I really liked them as a couple though I felt they got married too young. They should of waited until they were 21 or the girls were older. Though this is a good eye opener for those teens that think this the life they want to live. Dr. Drew says it best, what 8 out of 10 teen marriages end in divorce or something like that. You dont get a fairytail ending when your a teen mom who was irresponsible in protecting themselves to begin with. Many guys that age dont about anything besides how their gonna get chicks into bed, when their gonna get beer or just be a jerk in general.
