Amber Portwood's emotional journey is far from over.

Less than six weeks after the 21-year-old checked out of a Malibu rehab facility, the Teen Mom star was rushed to the hospital Wednesday after she suffered a severe panic attack. "I couldn't breathe and I passed out," she tells E! News. "I stopped breathing."

Despite being treated for depression and anger management in Malibu, Portwood admits she still hasn't found inner peace. "Honestly, I feel like I did two months ago. I'm still suicidal," she says. "I'm f-cking depressed. My family's not together."

Portword also slammed a recent tabloid report that claimed she rarely visits her 2-year-old daughter Leah with ex Gary Shirley.

"What hurts me the most is when people believe the lies about me," she explains. "The only reason I am letting Gary have custody of Leah right now is to keep CPS off our backs. I see Leah whenever I can. I have stipulations as to when I can and can't see her."

Fortunately, Portwood's mother has been a source of comfort over the past few months. "My mom knows everything that's going on in my life right now," she tells E! News. "We're great."

Everytime I see an episode that shows Amber and Gary fighting in front of that precious child it sickens and disgusts me. There are certain things you need to not do in front of your babies. Amber does the exact opposite of what she should be doing in order to raise her baby in a way where she at least has a chance. Everyone has had some type of trauma in their lives. That does not give people an excuse to be crappy parents! Nor does being a young single mom. I have been there. I was a single mom at 15, and I guarantee that I had more sense in my right pinky finger at that age than Amber does right now! Cut the crap and excuses, and do right by your baby! They need to take Amber off of the show. How can she even call herself a mom? She is ridiculous!

HIS IS FOR AMBER, REGARDLESS OF WHAT PEOPLE SAY TO YOU OR ABOUT YOU THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO JUDGE YOU. AGAIN , PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN GLASS HOUSES ,SHOULD NOT "THROW" STONES....... LOSING A CHILD BY CAUSE OF SIDS IS A TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE. I KNOW.... MY SON JEREMY-AKA. JELLYBEAN, DIED OF SID*S BACK ON AUGUST 7,1987......BY NOT HAVING DEALT WITH HIS DEATH AND NOT BEING ABLE TO GRIEVE I LOST MYSELF FOR SO MANY YEARS. I WAS AMBER. I LIVED THE SAME CRAZY WILD, DRAMA, AND EVERYTHING ELSE SHE IS GOING THROUGH. SHE WILL BECOME A BETTER PERSON WITH TIME. SHE IS A GOOD PERSON AND I CAN RELATE. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

Amber needs to just grow up. She talks so bad about Gary and he seems to be one of the greatest fathers I have ever seen. Not just on the show but anywhere. She needs to wake up and realize that she is never going to get any better than Gary and she needs to treat him with alot more love and respect!!

I'm pretty sure you don't 'stop breathing' from a panic attack. It's probably due to hyperventilating DURING the attack, yes?

how can you say you let Gary have custody, but yet you have stipulations on when you can see your daughter? dosen't make sense

welcome to adulthood, your not a teeny bopper anymore hun...enjoy being an adult, everyone willbe at some point.

To be frank, if you would grow up, stop beating on Gary, and face the fact that life as a teenager is OVER, you are now an adult raising a little girl, life would get better. Everyone gets mad, but we don't think we are above the law and common respect for another human beings by beating them. Grow up!

I agree with Amanda, we had 2 in our school also with the same attitude, both looking for tv.

if she's still suicidal then she shouldn't be popping babies since she can't handle her own damn life...spoiled rotten skanks = suicidal dumbasses

This show really needs to be taken off the air. I live in a small town and this year alone there are 8 teenage girls at the high school who are pregnant. 2 girls planned their pregnancies in the hopes of being chosen to be on Teen Mom. Its ridiculous.

she needs these drama stuff to earn a living!

  • October 08, 2011 - 9:58am Diane Stadtherr

Is she getting any psychological help? I hate these shows. They glamorize teen pregnancy. I hope she gets the help she needs, before doing something tragic!

  • October 08, 2011 - 4:14am Olivia Payton

I agree, the media needs to stop reporting on her and the rest.

  • October 08, 2011 - 12:16am Deanna Wahl

Doesn't anyone realize that this girl only has these 'episodes' to remain relevant? I find it disgusting that the media continually articles like this... THIS is why she keeps doing this stuff, she adores the media attention it brings her. I have never watched any of the 'teen mom' shows and I refuse to... MTV is exploiting these young girls and their babies lives in order to make money and the media is no better. Enough already!

she needs to get her damn life together! quit worrying about filming and money and just spend quality time with Leah, shes the one that suffers! take her to story time at the library, go to the park, just something to play with her!!!!!

  • October 07, 2011 - 9:50pm Kennadie Mandrell

These shows shouldn't even be on the air.

  • October 07, 2011 - 8:46pm Sarita Vallejo

she should have think that before she put her daughter in danger cuz tv

  • October 07, 2011 - 8:10pm Naylee Thomas

Yes, being a young mom then all the other issues she has is tough, but no one forced her to televise her experiences. The money was good but the backlash hasn't been. That's life honey. Focus on making yourself a better person and the care of your child. People are going to talk...that's what they do...you don't have to listen though.
