She speaks! Nearly five months after she first checked herself into prison, Teresa Giudice broke her social media silence on Twitter, sending a sweet message to her 1 million followers on Sunday, May 31.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 43, tweeted her gratitude to fans for their continued support while she serves her 15-month sentence at Federal Correctional Institution, Danbury. She and husband Joe Giudice were found guilty on charges of fraud last year.

The mother of four daughters — Gia, 14, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 9, and Audriana, 5 — has not been active on Twitter since before Christmas 2014, when she posted about watching Gia's band, 3KT, perform a holiday show. She did, however, release a statement exclusively to Us Weekly in April.

"I miss Joe and my girls terribly, but we are going to get through this as a family one day at a time," she told Us, via her lawyer. "We will be stronger because of this. Nothing can break us apart."
